Last week, SALDA hosted the National Passive House Association's professional development course, "Modern Building Solutions and Best Design Practices," bringing together architects, designers and other construction industry professionals.
Held in Šiauliai for the first time, the event highlighted the growing demand for knowledge sharing on modern building design, energy efficiency, indoor climate solutions and occupant wellbeing.
The course covered a range of topics, including Passive House design trends and best practices in Lithuania, the challenges of designing modern buildings in the context of climate change, the importance of ventilation in increasingly airtight buildings, as well as design considerations for timber windows and façades, balconies, stairwells and industrial flooring. Participants also explored Longevity principles for creating healthier and more sustainable living and working environments.
Guests were invited to visit the SALDA factory, where they gained insight into the manufacturing process of ventilation systems, quality assurance procedures and laboratory testing facilities. Rokas Petrašiūnas, Product Group Manager at SALDA, together with production department managers, shared practical technical insights relevant to the design of residential, commercial and public buildings.
We would like to thank Rytis Kaminskas, Director of the National Passive House Association, for the opportunity to collaborate, as well as all speakers for their professional and insightful presentations.
We believe that knowledge sharing and continuous professional development are essential for creating more efficient, sustainable and healthier buildings for the future.
